TIME + TIDE CHINZOMBO

Time + Tide Chinzombo is one of Zambia’s most exceptional safari camps.”Chinzombo” is the name for the msikizi trees given by the locals that surround the camp. With six spacious tents that all reside under the ancient canopies trees along the Luangwa River, each is designed with individual plunge pools, soaking tubs, and sweeping views of the water where the wildlife often come into view. The tent design blends canvas, timber, and locally inspired reedwork with soft leather, raw linen, and modest modern finishes.

At the end of a winding path, the main lodge sits elevated above the riverbank. Guests can gather around the raised fire pit to socialize while the sunlight fades over the Luangwa. Dinner is served under the stars while featuring fresh and seasonal ingredients, many of which are grown in Chinzombo’s very own garden.

Chinzombo is set in the South Luangwa National Park, one of the most wildlife dense areas. Here guests can enjoy game drives, walking safaris, and seasonal bota cruises. The area is rich with lions, leopards, elephants, hippos, giraffes, wild dogs, and birding. At Chinzombo, guests can expect intimate wildlife encounters, with excellent guiding in a beautiful accommodation.
