The River Camp

Lying on the banks of Ngobit River in Laikipia region of central Kenya, The River Camp offers a setting that feels wonderfully remote and deeply immersive. With Mount Kenya rising on the horizon, the camp sits within Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a vast expanse of 90,000 acres of protected wilderness.

With just six tents and two deluxe suites, The River Camp welcomes a maximum of 20 guests, creating an exclusive and intimate safari experience. Each tent is positioned along the riverbank and features its own private deck overlooking the Ngobit, inviting guests to unwind and take in the surrounding scenery in complete privacy and comfort.

Across the camp’s grounds, a pool, spa, and main dining area each offer beautiful views of the landscape. Guests can browse the library’s collection of books or relax in the bar lounge with a delicious drink as the day comes to a close.

Beyond camp, Ol Pejeta Conservancy is home to the largest rhino population in East Africa, including the last two northern white rhinos on Earth. Guests can visit these remarkable animals up close for a meaningful encounter that brings the conservancy’s vital conservation work to life. Beyond the rhinos, game viewing opportunities abound, with elephants, lion prides, leopards, cheetahs, and plentiful plains game roaming the conservancy.
