Wild Encounters

“There is one of a lion eating a buffalo (less gory than some that I have!). Was interesting to watch - the male lion was eating - including flipping the buffalo over. The female was resting nearby. When the male was done eating, he went over to the female who had just got up, and feeling good about himself and having had his fill, decided it would be a good time to mate. The female was having none of it, growled and batted him away with her paw and then calmly went over to have her turn at eating LOL.
Of the birds, there is a lilac breasted roller which I'm sure you know of, a wattled crane, and red-billed hornbill. I included those for consideration, just because I was only really thinking about seeing animals on safari, and was surprised by the variety of interesting/colorful birds.” Susan, Los Altos CA

More Than a Tour

“The best tour guides with vans plus gifts (water bottles, hats, socks, bags) our personal local guides, Richie and Matt!!! They convinced me (i was pretty beat, so i just caved, BUT!). Turned out to be a great decision to let Richie and Matt decide how much we could do in two days!!! They took us to the Penguins, The Cape, Tabletop, and a cute popular doughnut place on the way to Penguins, several quick stops in a harbor, a turn out, and a surprise stop at a deserted beach, where Matt had driven another van separately and set up tables and chairs, a soccer ball, delicious lunch. The kids had bought sling shots so they had competition there using a fence. They ran around which settled them back down, and we were off to Cape of Good hope. They grew up in the area, know their stuff, are great with kids, and even though we spent what felt like all day driving, they always got us up front of lines, were always with us if we needed them, and pretty much took over the entire time we were there.
Our last morning they out front loading all our bags, taking us with baggage handlers to get our boarding passes and then walked us to security and waved and hugged us goodbye. I don’t think I could ever go back to the Cape without calling them. They were awesome and well worth it, as they took all my jobs away by completely taking over, meals, water, bathroom requests!! First Time Using Travel Agency

“It was our first time using a travel agency, and we were not disappointed. Every place we stayed felt so personalized and like a hidden gem, and we truly don’t believe we would have found such amazing places without your help. My personal favorite was Sava Dunes, while Tivon loved Somalisa Expeditions. Since being back, we’ve already had multiple friends and acquaintances ask how we planned the trip, and we will definitely be referring them your way.

Logistically, everything went extremely smoothly and transparently. From our flights to Victoria Falls and then the air strip, we were accompanied by a representative at all times and never had to wonder what next steps were. It was very seamless. Regarding our time at Somalisa, our Guide Dixon was phenomenal. We felt extremely comfortable with him and it was clear that all other guides in the part relied on his expertise and help to find animals. We were able to see some rare animals like cheetahs and wild dogs, which was awesome.
