Jessica rejoins Next Adventure after previously working for the company before and during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. Jessica spent much of 2020 creating content for the Next Adventure website and social media, highlighting the far-reaching effects of the pandemic on safari tourism and conservation efforts and the local communities connected to the safari experiences offered. Unfortunately as the pandemic continued to persist, Jessica had to transition out from Next Adventure due to the global disruption across the travel industry.
Still wanting to remain connected to wildlife, Jessica joined the Wildlife Conservation Network (WCN) team, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting endangered species by supporting conservationists on the ground. Having attended a WCN Expo in 2019 and previously collaborated on a trip planned by Next Adventure, she had long followed the organization’s work before officially becoming part of the team. At WCN, Jessica played a pivotal role to their operations, while finding her real fulfillment in writing blogs that spotlighted the vulnerability of certain wildlife species such as the spectacled bear, the Borneo bay cat, the pangolin, and many others.
Now back at Next Adventure, Jessica is excited to reconnect with a community of travelers who share a deep appreciation for wild places and wildlife. She is passionate about fostering greater awareness of conservation and supporting community empowerment through Next Adventure’s sustainable tourism practices.
Jessica holds a B.A. in English from CSU East Bay and enjoys reading, writing, working out, hiking, and doing agility training with her Australian Shepherd.
