Mara Siana

Mara Siana is a small, tented camp set in Kenya’s private Ripoi Conservancy on the edge of the Maasai Mara, offering crowd-free game viewing with excellent big cat and year‑round wildlife sightings. The camp has just a handful of stylish en suite tents (including family units) with private decks, and is notable for its 50% Maasai, 50% female ownership and guiding team, creating an intimate, conservation‑focused safari experience that blends comfort with strong community roots.

The story of Mara Siana is rooted in a rare moment of opportunity, recognised instinctively by its founders at exactly the right time. The land that is now the Mara Ripoi Conservancy was originally part of a seperate Conservancy, established in 2011 on the outer edge of the Maasai Mara that later became the Ripoi Conservancy. During the uncertainty of the Covid years, when no investors had stepped forward, Jackson Looseyia identified the extraordinary potential of the landscape and secured a long-term concession. He invited close friends and fellow guides Salaash Morompi and Fred Ronko to join him, united by shared history, trust, and a deep connection to the Mara. Together, they set out to create a camp owned and managed by Maasai custodians of the land and in early 2023, Mara Siana was born.
